Sam Gourlay (08/02/2001-10/12/2023)

Sam was the younger of twins and had an elder brother too. He loved to wind people up but he was a very kind, caring young man too. He didn’t like school much due to having dyslexia and dyspraxia. He did judo, swimming and rugby and attended Boys’ Brigade gaining their highest award of the Queens Badge. After moving to Sheffield Sam became a prison officer and was much loved and well respected by his colleagues. Sam’s passing has left a huge hole in so many people’s lives.
